Why Children Need Hand Analysis

Did you know that certain parts of your hand never change and some parts change dramatically as you age? Fingerprint, palmar prints and relative finger lengths form completely five months before birth and are with you exactly the same way for the rest of your life. Lines, fingernails, knuckles, finger bends and hand shape develop with your personality.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a map that indicated what your child was good at, what they are struggling with and what would make them happy and well-adjusted? Well, there is! This information is located in their beautiful hands.

Richard Unger, founder and director of the International Institute of Hand Analysis, works with children and their parents in Switzerland to help them with their direction. As a student of his, I also see the amazing benefits available for parents. I am able to read children as young as 14 months, although the fingerprints may not be readable (they're so tiny!) until the child is at least 3 years old. I also ink the child's hand so that changes may be tracked over time. Most children find this part really fun. We can find an enormous amount of information in just 15 or 30 minutes.
